Soooo hot! But the show was sort of like "Stanley Spadowski's Clubhouse" in Weird Al's movie "UHF."

I check the listings for the Spanish-language channels every once in a while to see if they are running the Spanish-language version of the show.

(all times below apply to the Central time zone)

My copy of the Mobile Press-Register's TV programming guide for Wednesday, March 16th, 1994, has "Xuxa" listed for 2:30 p.m. for WPMI-TV (a different program for the station was listed for 3:00 p.m.).

Soooo hot! But the show was sort of like "Stanley Spadowski's Clubhouse" in Weird Al's movie "UHF."

Could you explain your first sentence?

The similarity I saw was in the stunts, although in UHF those stunts were more far out for comedic effect.

^I was actually referring to the sentence "Soooo hot!", but thank you for explaining the other sentence anyway.

Xuxa stopped making Spanish language shows after her Argentine show on Artear (ch. 13 of Buenos Aires) got cancelled in the mid 90s. She is still making family-friendly shows on her native language, Portuguese, on Rede Globo.

I remember it was not running here for very long until her poor command of English became an issue.
They added a new character (guy in a panda suit) to translate for her. It was hilariously awful.
