Y-100's Britney Spears Child Safety Weekend

Britney Spears Child Safety Weekend

"Listen to Y100.7 all this weekend for your chance to win everything you
need to be a better mom than Britney like a Babies R Us Gift card to buy
yourself a car seat, a disposable camera to snap back at the paparazzi,
and we'll even kick in a Britney CD too!"

Is this tongue in cheek or a novel way to save her dingbat reputation?

Can't decide...

Whatever it is, the contest is something out of the ordinary, which is exactly what the station needs....

Yep! Now if we could just get some Miami-leaning music back on the air...<P ID="signature">______________

What exactly is "Miami leaning music"? It seems to me there is plenty of regional music in this market: Reggae(ton), Caribbean, Latin, there's several Haitian and Spanish music stations. Are you speaking of the Parrotheads? Or more southern fried rock?

I'm speaking more of dance... older and newer. Old freestyle tracks. The techno-rap that was popular in the 80's (and Miamians still tend to enjoy). That sort of thing. Miamians are nostalgic about their music... and whether consultants think so or not, we like our dance music.

Basically, what I'm looking for is what Power 96 used to be before 2000... back when they had that Miami flavor. What Y-100 and Power 96 are playing now is fine... but it's not everything Miamians want.

Hey - lay off Brit! She apologized and has publicized child safety car seat programs ever since.

At least her sister is level headed. Great kid. And she sings ROCK not pop!

She apologized to the baby? Do you think it understood?

Who else would it be appropriate to apologize to?

Like... who cares?

It was an interesting idea for a station promotion,
that's all the significance of that posting.

Celebrity doings are irrelevant to me.
