Y 102.5

So, how's WXLY in Charleston sounding lately? Last time I got a chance to listen for a good while was back in August...the station sounded bad! The music was so unfocused it was distressing to listen to. They would play a 60s song, a few 70s, then they'd play a song or two along the likes of Journey, Bryan Adams, etc from the 80s, then a couple 70s, a 60s song or two, then some off-the-wall late 80s/early 90s song..... Please tell me this isn't the case anymore. Seems like each time I listen to them it gets worse sounding! The only thing that made it somewhat listenable was the morning show and Kain Cameron, both which are gone now. Seems like they're wanting to go up against 96.9 while keeping the Oldies listeners also? They need to go back to sounding the way it did until early 2005.

If I understood things correctly it is a lite AC format and is tracked with Murphy, sam and Jodie doing that awful syndicated thing that CC likes to run in the morning and then tracked after that. I am really surprised that their numbers aren't worse than they are right now.

If 102-5 moves more towards AC, I could definately see Cat Country moving to 96.9 or 95.1 if the ratings continue to decline on SX. My idea: put Cat Country on 96.9 and flip SX back to Hot AC.

96.9 is the only light AC in Charleston as far as I know...When CC has the "old fogey" market covered with a decent rated oldies station in a town with a good amount of old folks, why fix what ain't broke? Plus, all that format flipping would screw with people's heads.

I was hoping Jagermeister. If so, bring that bad boy over here!

Why would Kat stick around? It's a loser...in fact at this point the entire Citadel cluster sucks and on top of all that they were fined 10k by the FCC for PF violations. I am hearing wholesale changes in programming, but hey I'm just a guitar player.

I see your point, maybe Charleston isn't as big of a country town as Columbia. I need to do my homework on that I guess. My bad, take care...
