Y Morning Zoo - One year later

Elvis Duran and The Y Morning Zoo had their one year Y100 anniversary today according to the show. Not doing to badly for a show that many said wouldn't work in this market. They sound great. Looking forward to another nice year of a professional, fun show.
 
A year ago? I didn't think it was that long. Seems like Footy's last show was several months ago. By the way, if you refer to "Kreskin" in your post, you're nowhere near who they are targeting. No wonder you don't like the Y100 morning show. It's not for you. Even though I'm a Sirius fan, my girlfriend and all her friends love the show.

Where did I say I didn't like the show? I said that sarcastically because people said a canned morning show from New York wouldn't do well in Miami, and the exact opposite happened.
 
Sorry. I'm an idiot. We need something like that show here in Orlando. I drive back and forth and get quite bored with radio. Sat. radio helps. Still, not very exciting.
 
Surfboy: I visit Orlando frequently and always listen to XL106.7 - I was heading back to South Florida the day Doc left the morning show (Doc and JOhnny on XL106.7). Otherwise, they were pretty good.
 
I will gladly admit I was wrong. I think I have before, but I'm not positive about that. But I didn't think it would last... and I've been proven wrong. And I should add one thing: I'm very glad I was wrong! I enjoy the show. It's become my morning show of choice. Congrats to Y, congrats to Elvis and the crew, and congrats to South Florida for proving me wrong... I'd rather have the people of my hometown put me in line than those of any other city ;D
 
When I heard Elvis and the Zoo were going to be simulcasting from Z100 in NY - I was real happy to know it. I grew up in Brooklyn listening to Z100 and back then it was Scott and Ross and the Z Morning Zoo...However, John Bell is STILL at the station after 24 years! Clearchannel did a smart move! Congrads to one year and MANY MORE of The Y/Z Morning Zoo!
