Yacht Rock on 101.9 HD-2

Q102 has given up on The Chill format on HD-2 and launched 70's AC. Gerry Rafferty, Toto, Chicago, Doobie Brothers etc. I was listening thinking it sounds a lot like Yacht Rock on Sirius. Sure enough, that's what they are calling it. I kinda like it.

If the format is being executed as SiriusXM is executing it, the playlist will be well under 300 songs and you will know all of them within a week or two of listening. Look for tunes like "Baker Street," "What a Fool Believes" and "Hold the Line" to be in saturation rotation from beginning to end.

I like the Sirius channel because of the offbeat stuff they mix in. Any Major Dude, Coconut, Couldn’t Get It Right, Chilliwack, etc. I haven’t heard any “Oh wow” songs yet on Q. Lots of Doobie Brothers. I really like many of the HD2 formats in Cincinnati and Dayton. The Sound is still my favorite station in town.
