Y'all now on 99.1

The ever-changing musical chairs for Y'all has occurred once again. I was listening to WENN-AM this morning and the station ID was given as WENN Birmingham and W256CD Gardendale. I chhecked and W256CD is on the air and rebroadcasting WENN as "Y'all". So, it appears SummitMedia will not be moving "Peach" or "Easy" on the 99.1 frequency, as several of us had previously postulated.

I meant...Fultondale. It's one of those "dale's" anyway... ;)

Another thing I should mention that just occurred to me...although 1320/99.1 are playing the variety hits format that has been in place on 1320, there is no mention of the "Y'all" branding. In the past, the Y'all name was given at the top of the hour ID on WENN. Today, however, the ID is given as just "99.1 FM, WENN Birmingham, and W256CD, Fultondale". So, it's possible this is just some sort of stunting until 99.1 (with/without 1320?) goes with a permanent format other than "Y'all".

yes, I have heard the trimulcast on 100.1 FM, too, , but yeah...no legal ID except for WENN and W256CD at 99.1. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out with the other SummitMedia stations.

I haven't heard 99.1 in about a week. It is off the air. What's happening there?

WENN has been broadcasting on and off for a while now with the variety hits format, sans the Y'all name.
