Yankees New Radio Announcer

You'd think they would try to keep their new attitude toward treating fans with respect by adding a local announcer. Nope. Two finalists from out of town. Two local guys with minor league baseball experience didn't even get interviewed. Shit job Crane.
 
This whole franchise is a farce.. RENAMING THE TEAM BECAUSE LOCAL FANS WANT TO CHANGE THE NAME.. what a joke.. it all comes down to the Name "Yankees" means money and we can't afford that name, so let's make up a bogus contest stating that the locals here want to change the name.. no we don't. The Stadium Club was run into the ground and now they had to rebuild a stadium that was new by major League Standards.. taxpayers are be8ing duped big time.
 
Let's hear some local names. Who has the chops to broadcast one step below the major leagues?

The name change is a good thing. SWB Yankees needs a total make over, although the potential new names are all horrendous.

The team didn't run the Stadium Club in to the ground. No one went on day/nights when the stadium was dark. Simple.
 
Not saying the team ran the club into the ground.. but the people running it did and they're part of the mix.. Montage Mountain has a huge client base to draw from.. a restaurant in that area should not be a failure.. they did nothing to draw in people. I've been getting emails from professional teams as far away as NY asking if I wanted to have my parties (Birthday, Corporate Events, Anniversary etc) at places like the Citi Field (METS). You got no promotion at the local stadium here. I disagree about that name.. YANKEES has to be in the mix.. it's a huge draw maybe one of the biggest in sports. Just like the Penguins name meant a lot to local fans, the Yankees label is HUGE.. dropping that name does nothing for any tourists who hear a name and have to ask "Who are they affiliated with?"
 
Dropping "YANKEES" would be absurd and disastrous. The success of this franchise has always been driven by it's proud legacy of sports domination, and the revolving pool of legends who made that happen. New York Yankees fans are too sophisticated, let alone vocal, to let this happen. I know because I am one of them.
 
Press release just sent out- new guy is named John Sadak. Comes from Delaware.

Again- out of towners who run local team saying NEPA Sportscasters NOT qualified enough to broadcast team located in NEPA. Real smooth move Crane.

We'll keep all this in mind when you call me to buy tickets. #goodluckwiththat
