Phil spends endless hours arguing with himself in made up voices like someone who's been alone in a small booth far too long, ranting about various ethnic groups and political agendas, and pleading with the one listener who's on waiting for the Jointritis number at break to buy something from the e-store, Tom's pulling 7 figures and could retire any time he pleases to spend the rest of his life a multi millionaire traveling to various wine countries for fun. You decide...

"Same old theatrical crap with no substance"
And yet Phil's "theatre" of made up people is somehow of more "value"?

No, he's a pathetic old fat guy who can't even get away with pretending!

I agree one could take away all sorts of perceptions based solely on his on air persona...

My my is that hostility I sense? Honestly I'm not a big listener of his show, at least not the weekday show. I do catch myself listening to the wine tasting show on weekends. It's a whole different 'voice'. I have indeed met Tom on about a dozen or so occasions, but not having anything to do with his radio show. He was a client of a company I worked for for a while. You'd never imagine but he really is a pretty remarkable guy in real life, no '70s girlfriend photos, no gold chains with disco shirt, NO COMBOVER either. He is actually one of the most professional and dare I say likeable of individuals I've dealt with in radio or any other form of 'celebrity' for that matter, which is partly why I felt compelled to comment. I can only tolerate his weekday show in small doses, but still, I think I would rather listen to "the boys" asking to be taken out any style on endless loop than to hear one more minute of that g*daam Phil Hendrie show!

To each their own!
