I'm a listener, not someone in the biz.

Besides, I'm not a 16 year old jerkoff with no money, I'm an adult with dough, go ahead and chase all the kids with no money, makes no difference to me. You can only defend Leykis by ratings, not by quality.

Maybe because Leykis has no quality? Maybe because he is a W.hore and a pathetic figure in radio who has to sell out and act like a horny 16 year old boy, even though he is a fat old loser who has been divorced half a dozen times?

Go ahead, get 16 year olds to listen to combover boy, they probably think he is awesome and cool, but if any of them ran into him on the street they would probably steer clear of the 50+ year old perv trying to be hip.

Phil vs TL = Brains vs Ass

Tom's act is old but.....TL will continue to prosper until
> he qualifies for Social Security.

You mean he doesnt qualify for SS already? Isnt he like 100? TLs act serves the lowest common denominator...where Phil Hendrie requires some thinking...cause if Phils listeners are dense, they get railroaded in the most hysterical way.

How many markets is TL syndicated in?

Re: actually...

Sounds like a bunch of jealousy. Both Tom Leykis and
Phil Hendrie are talented pros. While I can understand
some hostility towards his content, Tom is a highly
skilled host. For anyone to dismiss what Phi Hendrie
does is simply ignorant. I have met both of these
guys, and they are nothing like some of you have
described.

Phil Hendrie is clever and creative. I don't always care for his politics, but he still wins me over, and it's great that his schtick, for lack of a better word, still works so well.

Leykis? Hateful noise...and that's not something this world needs more of. Bob was simply saying choosing NOT to spew hate and garbage and cruelty disguised as humor so you can get a leg up on the compeitition and instead putting your nose to the grindstone and doing the best program you can in Podunk is honorable. I don't think that's an outdated concept. What good is talent if you choose to use it the way Mr. Leykis does? Simply by virtue of being able to do something without immediate consequences doesn't make it right, and saying it's jealousy ducks the point in an attempt to dismiss it without saying why you disagree.
