Only one thing worse than Nurse Jeff and I being disturbed on vacation is to listen online to KT'R's GM lie about The Men In Secret Underwear plans for News92~three KT'R-FM!
Lie one: We don't know what we're going to do with KMVP. Allow us to translate - we just pulled the rug out from under AM values in the market and who would buy this turkey? Maybe KVVA wants it back as there's just not enough Spanish stations in the market. Lie two: It'll be great to hear Pat McBlands voice on FM. Translation - he sounds about 85 years old on AM, guess he might sound ten years younger on FM. Ah, what the hell...we're just marking time 'til Rush falls off the drug wagon again!
So it'll be Sports 6~twenty, KT'R...home of the Pink Taco Team, D'backs, Suns and ASU. And when there's a conflict, they'll put one of the teams on News92~three KT'R-FM. This only makes sense if your name is Dirk Koetter!
And finally to end all speculation, Nurse Jeff and I ARE NOT the new Chickbosses at KFYI. Whoever gets that gig will have his/her work cut out for them...and we try to avoid situations like that.
Now can we get back to our R&R in Milpitas? Nothing like the smell of salt evaporators and jetA fumes from San Jose International. How's the weather where you are?
