Years later, a mixed record for Soft AC

WDUV retains the "Continuous Lite Favorites" slogan, but they are still a far cry from their Beautiful Music / Easy Listening days.
So did WEZV. In fact, it took a long time for the places where there music is online to get rid of that, if they even have. And a recent Facebook post has t-shirts with that slogan.

I must ask, how is WKQC considered an AC instead of an Adult Hits, given the high amount of 80s and close to a lack of recurrents/currents? I think they aren't Classic Hits given that they still play songs after 2005.
By the way, WKQC is relevant to a thread about soft AC for one reason. I don't remember when my barber retired, but I had to find a new one. I definitely didn't like the first one I tried because of his attitude and never went back. But he was playing WKQC and at that time it was soft AC, at least by today's definition. And of course, WKQC was soft AC as WEZC back in the 80s. But back then, that wasn't soft AC.

I feel that stations like KISQ have a feel similar to mainstream ACs in the early 00s. And the likes of WFEZ counter the somewhat rock heavy nature of many classic hits stations.
