so let's say you are on the desk...and need exposure ..and want to get your newest star in front of it all..so you you have you newest star marching around county hall with a handfull of people leading a "protest" against taxes..and then. since you are assignment editor, carry the protest. even do break aways from programming...

Now, now. The protesters are taking advantage of a media event, and the media is using the protesters to promote their reporters. I expect everybody to cover the protest as a sidebar to the County Legislature story.

Yellow Journalism would be hiring the protesters, using them to threaten legislators who disagree with you, then calling the police to beat them into submission while you get it all live and/or on tape. We don't have anybody around here smart enough to orchestrate all that.
