Yet ANOTHER DAYTIMER GONE ASTRAY.....

I was tuning around the AM band Thursday Evening between 11:30 PM and Midnight EST. I noticed KMTL COVERING WJR-760 with gospel music here in Central KY. KMTL is listed as a 10,000 Watt Daytime ONLY station from Sherwood, AR (Little Rock area). They are clearly IDing at random times, too. I guess the FCC does not monitor the airwaves anymore because this kind of thing is happening a lot anymore. For several weeks, 1070 out of Indianapolis was recently covered EVERY NIGHT by a Spanish language station from South Carolina operating with their Daytime, ND 50kw.... ALL NIGHT LONG.

Used to have trouble with a Spanish-language daytimer out of Dallas on 850 staying on all night blocking out KOA. Since I'm in the Dallas area, it blocked KOA out completely. I filed a complaint with the FCC and it hasn't happened since.

Until lightning struck their tower several months ago, taking them silent, our local classic country AM WBZR ran 24/7 on a daytime auth for YEARS. I mean years. I've lived here for 2 years, but vacationed here yearly and every year them and 1110 in Bay Minette would be on all night. Both are day only licenses.
