Yet another idea for 99.7

I was just reading the country board and this Lonestar 92.5 is getting good reviews.

Do you think a classic rock slash country station would do anything here.

Tom petty into Garth Brooks into James Gang into Lynard Skynard(crossover artist) into Big and Rich to John Melloncamp etc, etc, etc etc.

They could call it "GREAT 99" or "AMERICAN 99" or "99 The BULL".

Even though the life span may be only 10 years for this type of format It could work if you had someone programming it right.

Now before you say 10 years B101 as oldies only had a 10 year lifespan and it lasted a good 14 years.
Your Mike's, Bob's and Franks was a somewhat good idea until oldies station transformed into "Classic hits".Just look at WCBS in New York who went back to the oldies format and is now reportedly playing late 50's to early 80's.
Thoughts...

It could work, and I wouldn't be surprised to here it as Z100 again.
