Yet Another TV Show Based On Radio Coming Soon...

This one is titled "Next Caller Please," described as "a single-cam gender/workplace comedy about a brash alpha male DJ and his new feminist co-host at a satellite radio station." NBC has picked up the pilot for this and two other sitcoms.

Many a pilot never makes it, so "Coming soon" is hardly a sure bet.

Like any other TV series, the script will live or die by exploring parallel storylines dealing with it's character's personal lives, as well as their professional lives in the studio. Both Frasier and WKRP explored the dynamics and behavior of each show's main characters, both inside and ouside their radio stations.

Shallow, clueless script writing, I'm sure. But memories still fresh of McLane Stephenson's earlier signature role as the hapless, bumbling colonel on M*A*S*H may have bogged him down on ... HELLO LARRY. I intentionally omitted this show from my 1st contribution, wondering if anybody would even remember it!
