YHot Coming To FM Radio

From the Facebook of YHot:
"Listen up Orlando...YHot is coming!!!
In case you missed it the Big announcement tonight at the "Man Up Tour"....
(drum Roll......)
Z88.3 will be launching a NEW FM signal...which means Yhot will be coming to a FM Radio near you in Orlando!!!!..
We are very excited about this new outreach to the Orlando area
More details are coming soon...
PRAISE GOD!!!!!"

I'm excited!
I'm not Christian, but I really like Cross Movement, KJ-52, John Reuben, TobyMac, Kirk Franklin, & Trip Lee.
It's positive, upbeat, & most importantly, not too sappy.
Wonder if they'll hire a non-Christian...?

I think YHot will be on the 88.7 signal.
I can pick it up in Orlando for the most part.
Or is there a transmitter that's not even on yet that we don't know about?
What do you think?

hello, i had a little trouble receiving 88.7 when i lived in altamonte. so either they bump the wattage on 88.7 or they have a whole other fm signal in the works. unless they bought one of the reach fm translators.

Hasn't Y HOT been on one 88.3's HD channels for a while now?

My guess is that they will probably put it on their 102.5 translator.

It covers Pine Hills and West Orlando well which is where most of that audience resides.

YHot was already on 88.3-HD2.
Just bought an HD radio a couple weeks ago.

There's a 102.5 translator?
Is that even on right now?
I usually get "The Bone" from Tampa anywhere in Orlando at 102.5.

I see on Radio Locator that there's a construction permit on WMYZ-FM 88.7.
Looks like they're going to move from Class A to C3 very soon.
Don't think they even have to change call letters for YHot, since there's already a "Y" in "wmYz".
88.7 does come on weak, but maybe the bump in wattage will make it better.
I currently live where austingrace used to live.

Looks like 102.5 is now Clear Channel's new Smooth Jazz station.
Website's already up & running:
http://smoothjazz1025.com/main.html

So where will YHot be?
88.7 like I predicted?

Meanwhile, YHot announced they will go on their "new signal" in September.

Haven't heard much about 95.9, but I know I have heard some Sports on there pretty strong around Orlando.
YHot 95.9... Sounds pretty good to me.

These CP'S, will they make the main signal cover all the area that the translators used to cover?
Hmmm, perhaps the translators then could pick up the YHot signal.

I heard YHot on 95.9 yesterday morning.
Signal resembles much like Smooth Jazz 102.5.
I don't hear it anymore.
Must have been just a test.

Hot 95.9 is now on-air!
On my presets already!

I hope its on to stay. Considering its been on and off for a few weeks. Now if 88.3 would only put their HD3 channel on FM airwaves. That rock station is right on par with WJRR.

Johnknapik...

88.3's HD2 channel is the Christian Rock and the HD3 is the YHot Christian Urban format.

They have been on and off testing because they are moving their tower location closer to town to get a better metro signal.

They should be on air consistently any day now...

Deano,

Is there any chance that The Rock HD3 will hit the FM airwaves anytime in the future. I listen to it through my phone on a radio app since I don't own an HD Radio.

...and I am really enjoying the HD2 on 95.9, I'll spread the word.

I learned a long time ago to never say "never." While we don't have any immediate plans (or an available frequency) to bring 88.3 HD3-The Rock to the Orlando FM dial, we are exploring all avenues that might lead to that end result. Stay tuned...

Sounds good heer in Altamonte :). Glad i moved back to this area. It's awesome to hear christian hip-hop on fm radio.
