YIKES!!! @ WAVE!

Have you guys seen the latest rating for WAVF? Whoa! What happened? Or is there something I don't know about?!? I'm speechless on this one.

WAVF is pretty much a hard/alternative/mainstream rock station. Their numbers are pretty much in liine with other stations playing that mix of music (check the Columbia Phase I's and you'll see what I mean).

The short answer is that WAVF is not completely meeting the expectations of Charleston listeners.

WAVF definately needs to go back to the Alternative/AAA hybrid format they had. I remember it was so eclectic and fun to listen to because it sounded like no other station. Besides, you have 98X for the harder edge music. Funny thing is, 98X has a great advantage now. And yeah, WARQ in Columbia goes up, then down, then up, so it's hard to determine that one. Now for spanish stations, WIGL seems to be picking up now with almost a 2 share. WAZS in Charleston seems to be stagnant for being a station that's been around for a couple years.
