Yorke sends a big hug to Bristol Co. Mass

;D BIG BIG laughs over Dan Yorke's inside baseball comments about certain blowhards
on this site. That was awesome Dan and spot on!!!!

In this 9 round Bout. I have it scored, after the 3 rd round, Yorke has a 2 to 1 advantage.
Yorke hit Cooke with powerfull combinations in round 3! I m not sure if this fight
will go the distance!!

I heard it Radiohead, LOVE the inside stuff! ;D Walter.

And that's exactly the kind of stuff we were talking about this week. Inside stuff that goes over everybody else's heads. He might as well be talking about which gopher walks around the station with a Blue Tooth.

I don't know what Yorke said, but I bet that 95 percent of the audience didn't find any joy in listening to something they didn't understand. This is the point where Yorke isn't putting on a show for his audience. He's only putting on a show for himself. Gee.... How exciting for the people who matter. When I fill out my Arbitron Diary this month I'll be doing my own little show where I laugh when I don't write in WPRO for any day part. That sounds like it will be a hoot! Wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

Since you didn't hear what Yorke said or how he said it why are you commenting on it Skynet??
Sounds like you have an axe to grind Sky. Do you also need a hug from Dan?? ;D

Well since you heard it than maybe you can answer this question. Do you think what Yorke said was even remotely interesting to the listeners who didn't understand what the hell he was talking about? I have no axe to grind against Yorke. I have an Axe to grind against stupidity.

No biggy here. I heard Yorke mention it. Maybe 25 seconds long, not even.
Holland was talking about a host speaking about an inside thing for 20 or 30
minutes. my guess is Holland and Yorke have banged heads there. After all,
it is clear Hollands post about Beacon was Yorkes baby..

Sky how can you have an axe to grind against stupidity when you're practicing that very thing in commenting on something you never even heard? Yorke's comments took all of 30 seconds and I don't think his radio audience cared one wit that Dan was taking 30 seconds out of his 4 hour show to take an obvious slap at something/someone they know nothing about.
Only those envious because they don't have a radio gig of their own seem to be bent out of shape over it.
Personally I thought it was very funny especially the hug comment which Dan also used later on in the show.

Well maybe I overreacted based on what I read here. I got the impression that it was more indepth than an off the cuff remark that only lasted a few seconds. Maybe I made a mistake. In the grand scheme of things it's no big deal. So everyone calm down.

Secondly at this time I am very happy to not be on the air with my own show. If that is what I wanted than I would be pursuing that. But I'm not. Please don't make the same mistake that countless others make and assume that everyone who posts here would give their left arm for a Radio show. I couldn't care less about that right now. I've been there already and trust me when I tell you that I'm not fighting to get back into the arena of low pay and no appreciation. Thanks for your concern.

Why would Dan think I was referring to HIM?

Because it's ALWAYS all-about-him?
JUST kidding...

Hello from Toronto, where the Talk radio is INCREDIBLE.
Half a dozen stations, ALL LIVE AND LOCAL.
Very urbane, like this vibrant city itself.
At the newsstand in the hotel lobby, they're selling CUBAN CIGARS.

Sorry I missed whatever-y'all-are-cackling-about that Dan said.
Did he say it three-times-in-a-row?
And why would he think I was referring to HIM?

"I will tell you this..."

All I said about Dan here was that I recently drove by the-station-he-used-to-own (on the shores of the mighty Connecticut River, in West Springfield), which-I-had-worked-at-some-years-earlier (although we were downtown back then). I even took pictures, for old time's sake. I'd post 'em, but they're not on the camera I'm traveling with.

Meanwhile, back on Block Island:
