Carly Simon was followed by The Duprees and then the news. Jeff Rollins didn't say a word.

I wonder how this happens? It would be neat if Jeff mentioned it, saying both these songs had the same name.
 
I think there are six different songs out there with the title "You Belong To Me"

Here are the two most famous,

The timeless adult standard (Duprees, Jo Stafford. Michael Buble, Tori Amos - even Lifehouse recorded a version of this snazzy old gem.)

First Verse:

See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sunrise from a tropic isle
Just remember darling all the while
You belong to me......

The Carly Simon/Michael McDonald track (also covered by Anita Baker and Jennifer Lopez I think)

First Verse:

Why'd you tell me this
Were you looking for my reaction

you're beautiful to strangers
I've got loving eyes of my own.....

There's a Taylor Swift song titled "You Belong To Me", lyrics totally different from the two above, an Elvis Costello written tune titled "You Belong To Me" a hard rock song with the same title and different lyrics (can't remember who did that one) and another AC pop song (not the same as Carly Simon/Michael McDonald's, also with different lyrics.....)

But then Jeff should have said, "That was Carly Simon's 'You Belong to Me'. Now here are The Duprees with ... 'You Belong to Me!'"

Or. "with 'You Belong to Me' from Carly Simon. We end the hour with ... 'You Belong to Me"! But this one is by The Duprees. Totally different song."

Why plan for something you can do something with and not do anything?

Jeff was MIA this morning. There were NO DJs.

To be factual, a lot of people have recorded the song, including the ones V-Chimp listed.
 
That's one of the chief definitions of a "standard", isn't it?
 
A train just came through. I live where the trains go through very slowly and there is one a day, going in each direction. Nevertheless, this had one of those K5LA-R24 type horns that they use a lot on the main lines with fast-moing trains.

I think the pitch may have been off. I don't believe that horn model has ever sounded like The Duprees.
