...This time its St.Louis, where Radio One will flip the soon-to-be-acquired WRDA to a Rhythmic Top40 direction and target both Rhythmic-leaning Mainstream Top40 KSLZ(Z-107.7) and R&B/Hip-Hop KATZ(100.3 The Beat) October 1st.

Thats the station, that I have been Praying would Flip soon, That [email protected] format, I knew wouldnt work.......Its about time someone dropped another Rhythmic here,,,,,,,take KATZ Down a Peg or Two. Does anyone know if it is going to be a PURE HIP HOP outlet, or could it perhaps be a Dance Leaning rhythmic coming here to the GATEWAY City.

Judging from the last time they tried it over at WFUN(Q95.5), I don't think they'll go with wall-to-wall Hip-Hop, so it looks like they might be going for a formula along the lines of KTTB/Minneapolis-St.Paul. In other words look for this one to have a Top 40 flavor.

Probably more like "B96.3" in the Twin Cities....

I wish it was more like Z-103.5 Toronto or Diva in Louisiana ;)

You do know that 104.1 doesnt have nearly the signal strength of 100.3 or 107.7, but it has a much better signal than Magic 104.9 URBAN, and the old Urban Q95.5 WFUN, which was a horrible signal, you couldnt even tune it in on a Boombox in Collinsville ILL, 10 miles from downtown, and the tuner doesnt stop on SEEK on 95.5 anywhere in town in the car. And out at 6 flags Theme PARK, you cant get 95.5 at all, just a blanket of static, 40 miles from Downtown, so its no wonder why 95.5 WFUN failed. 104.1 does have a Great signal to the Western Suburbs, of St. louis around Mid Rivers Mall, the AIRPORT, and also St. Chrles, and St. Peters, and they are licensed to Jersey City Illinois with the Tower actually located just north of the Mississippi about 10 miles, the signal Fades out about 60 miles out, in all directions, but Competition KSLZ, and KATZ signals both reach 100 miles out, and even Farther in places.

I'm a saint now? ;)

104.1 used to be the home of CHR Q-104, after it moved down the dial from 106.5 FM (the legendary Q-106.5).
