YEah, I wonder how this will sound???? XM already has THE CITY, which used to sound Urban, with a deep playlist, and quite a few Slow Jamz, but the last few months, they seem to be more mainstream, with mostly upbeat Hip Hop? I bet the City will go back to its Deeper Urban sound, when the new Rhythmic station is added. Considering the station is going to be listed in the Urban-Hip Hop category I kinda doubt the new Rhythmic will branch out into POP and Dance tracks. Its probably just going to be more conservative Female friendly Hip Hop station. I would rather have Extreme Hip Hop,,, or a Dance-Hip Hop combo, like the old 95.3 Party WPYO....

BTW,,, I am aware that we have Channel 66 RAW, for uncut hip hop, but it seems to play so many unknown songs, and alot of them are slow.. Also,, some of their music is still edited, even though its supposed to focus on uncut Hip Hop??WTF?

They just want a All hard Hip-Hop station. until this day I think that the old 92.1 The Beat (in Norfolk VA) was the hardest sounding HIP-HOP station ever and everything they played was clean.

Oh yeah, who can forget WBHH, a station that was billed as the first full-time Hip-Hop outlet. Too bad Clear Channel couldn't sell or promote the format properly, not to mention that the station was draining listeners from WOWI.

This new channel will probably sound like The Eye which is only heard right now on XM online. You are right about what The Heat may sound like.
