You could say hello!

Yo, what up Chris?...welcome.

Hey, if that is a "radio" resume on your site, drop the stuff about Starbucks, Krogers, and the other non-radio things. Potential radio employers won't care at all about that.

Alrighty Chris...I checked out your web site, resume and a few airchecks. For what it is worth, here are my suggestions!

On your resume:
-drop education to the bottom...I know it cost a lot of money, but no one in radio really cares if you have a degree.
-take the non-radio jobs off your resume
-list the market name of the stations you worked for...not where the studio or stick is. For example....pick either Dayton or Cincinnati for The Rebel...not Middletown; Cincinnati instead of Springdale for WMKV.
-I've seen station logos used in the white space next to whatever you say about what you did. Gotta be careful that it doesn't look too cluttered.
-spice up that objective...it's not P&G for goodness sake!! Also try bring more specific....looking for Midday at Country, news/traffic...whatever. Change it for each job!!
-update your phone number for Ron Schumacher with WGRR. WGRR got swapped a year ago for Cumulus' 94.9...He hasn't worked at 2060 Reading since last October!! You look like you don't know him if anyone actually calls the number you have listed for him---or for people like me who recognize 699-XXXX numbers as being Bonneville. (HINT: Rockin Ron at work 513-241-9898 or 513-241-9500 )

As for your airchecks....the Rebel stuff wasn't terribly compelling. Since you're just getting into radio, I would suggest using some actual on-air stuff that you have done, as well as making up some other format stuff. Pick a few formats that you think you could pull off, listen to those stations and get in the studio and play around. You could (potentially) showcase personality that can't come thru reading liner cards in real life, plus it makes it easier for a PD to hear you on another format if you have some other stuff to show. I'd also include a new/traffic break in there if that is something you want to actually do. I think you sound pretty good doing news. Of course.....you'd never want to try to play off that you actually worked at stations that you create an aircheck of (if you use call letters of real stations)!!

Just a few thoughts....good luck!
