You Gotta Be Kidding!

I realize this has nothing to do with the radio industry but I couldn't let it pass. A few nights ago I was watching the news on one of our fine local television stations, a guy was being interviewed about a structure that had just been destroyed by fire. This apartment building was home to a good number of people who had just been turned out into the cold. The man's comments were something like: "I just can't believe what a tragic loss this is" when off camera the lady reporter said: "Why"!

Any chance the reporter was trying to get the interviewee to expand on why it was a tragic loss?

Sounded more like one of those comebacks: "How do you feel" after a guy had just lost his entire family in a tragic accident! I don't know who she was - never saw her on camera and the voice wasn't familiar. Maybe a new kid on the block.

Probably a camera person/producer. Since she was off mic she was probably just trying to get a more dramatic statement from the eye witness.

How sad Now Local News news is trying to copy The Jerry Springer Show!
