You guys

As I have been reading your posts for the past yr or so, you guys all seem to worship at the alter of JD. I listened to him every day just to see what his shtick would be on that day. Did he ever show such terrific courage? Seems to me I remember that during the Mayor's trial, he would talk about the Chief of Police, for instance, and then call him in the trailer as the Chief walked by and had a nice conversation with the Chief, that made me think "What the heck, he was just busting him and now he'slovey, dovey!. He did the same with everyone else.
All he was good for was stirring the crap. He's not doing too well in Boston, is he?
He won't come back here cause he ruined his chances for good. I'm waiting for
Matty's full time show.

I have always maintained that DePetro was not very talented. First, he claimed to be the "Independent Man," yet was a slave to the right-wing views of the national Republican Party. His opinions were far from independent. Second, his show was simply not very good. His presentation oftentimes amounted to mere mumbling, some of the callers were allowed to drone on for far too long, and he seemed to lack the ability to debate openly and honestly (without the use of invective or other put-downs).

Although I do have mostly liberal views, I have tried to make an objective analysis of Mr. DePetro. I do not hope to hear him anytime soon on the Providence airwaves.

I never liked DePetro's show much either. He wasn't a very friendly person either. Wouldn't it be funny if he came back to WHJJ and had a shift right before or after Geoff Charles?

Geoff on the other hand is a pretty good broadcaster. He's a liberal fruitcake, but was fun to listen to. Super nice guy, too.
