Just an observation here.

With its wattage and music, shouldn't Q92 already be #1 in Canton, a very small market? It's the only CHR--it should have the young women sown up! It should be beating the pants off WKDD.

Just saying.

"Beating the pants off WKDD" sounds just LIKE a morning show topic at Q92.
Here's how stupid I was: I thought beasboy's post was satire.
Remember kids: it IS all just radio. If there were any REAL justice, fairness, or all-around common sense about the bizness, Little Timmy Richards wouldn't be working in Clevo (ESPECIALLY after all the vitriol thrown his former employer's way on this board alone) and I'd be working more than just a 4-hour shift on Sundays (not that I'm complaining about that...I'm just sayin').

Don't worry, Brady. Little Timmy Richards is just that-- "little." Remember, everyone's luck runs out eventually. Timmy is just a glorified part-timer. You are a PRO.

I'll Take "Abandoning Your Core" for $2000 Please, Alex

In other words, Jerry Springer radio.... yes, the core CHR demo will eat that up, you're so right, beasboy!

WZKL will never be #1 in the market. Period. If you believe that, you're either high, drunk, insane, living in a fantasy world, or some combination of all of the above.<P ID="signature">______________

Not to mention the fact that it's constantly ALL OVER American Idol. Ridiculous familiarity

A little jealousy, eh? Plus, you, me or anyone else have no proof that anything written negatively about WZKL or anything other station is by a former, present or never-employed employee of Q92. At this point, your making a serious ASSumption.

Chamillionaire and others

So Chamillionaire is a STIFF huh?

Then I guess you’ll be busy slamming some pretty good CHR Pop stations:
KZZP Pheonix 90X
KHKS Dallas 60X
KHTT Tulsa 70X
KDWB Minneapolis 38X

Kanye West already stiffed out at #33. So you like it, we already played it, and it’s toast so we’re off of it. BodyRockers we’ve been spinning for 3 weeks and added it then.

Black Eyed Peas are sitting at #38, Aly & AJ at 43 BFD glad you LIKE EM. I chose to add Ashley Parker Angel at #45 and WAKS is hitting this hard, Hawthorne Heights at #53 and both are still up in spins so same difference. Bo Bice is on almost everywhere in this market including WAKS and they are only 5 spins behind us a week.

The fact of the matter is we have 2000 spins a week to allocate to songs and you decided to point out songs we’ve spun 5-10 times a week in most cases. That’s an awfully small percentage of our entire playlist and barely gets any exposure, in fact record companies and mediabasers are about the only people who realize we’re on those songs.

Get busy on the other boards...oh wait that's all you do. Does YOUR BOSS know what YOU"RE DOING ALL DAY??

Re: And While I'm At It, John Stewart..

Wow. The below is simply amazing. I don't know you Stewy, but stop and think about it for a minute: if you're the only CHR option in Canton, why NOT sound like every other CHR in the country? I mean, who's gonna know? Or care? The audience wants what the audience wants, and if you're the only one giving it to them, guess what? You win. "SuperProgrammer" (forgive me, I didn't catch your real name) was damn nice to share the benefit of his apparently vast knowledge. It's a shame for the people in Canton who want CHR that you're too dim (not to mention full of yourself) to recognize reason, experience and intelligence when you read it. I'd love to hear what "SuperProgrammer" has to say about WHBC. That station is so tired...I hear the practically the same songs, same contests, same jingles that I heard 7 or 10 years ago. That can't be good.

Oh Thank God you're here SuperProgrammer!! Now I can straighten out WZKL in one afternoon. I'm so excited to fix the Q to your standards by playing the exact same playlist as every other CHR in the country. Thank you Thank you Thank you. We can even change the name of the station to be KISS FM South, HOT FM West or NCI East. Thank you SuperProgrammer.Donnie will be so happy too since he's been dropping tens of thousands of dollars on researching music and paying a consultant for their expert opinion. Now we can just check on this informative board about TOP 40 for FREE. Thank you SuperProgrammer.Good points on Daniel Powter...not sure what I was thinking by playing the #9 song in the country that much. (up 1100 spins) Thanks for the heads up SPD.Chamillionaire too OMG who even would even pay attention to the audiences requests or callout when we have you. (#1 request on Thursday Ridin and #2 callout this week)So thank god for SuperProgrammer, we'll get it all fixed TODAY!
