You know you're getting old when...

KLUV plays "The Power of Love" By Huey Lewis & The News and you were in junior high when it came out.

Ouch. That was one of the "pop tunes" the high school band played for the majorettes to twirl to at a high school football game.

Sounds like we're pretty close in age.

Yep they've been spinning that one for a number of months now. How long before Xanadu hits the list? ;D

Bad flashback.

Xanadu was the first "album" I purchased with my own money
made from cutting lawns. That and I believe, the Styx "Live"
album. Up until that point it was all 45's......remember those
ancient fossils?

Can you tell I was raised on Pop/Top 40?

Luckily, a year later I discovered rock. Thank God for
a friend that introduced me to AC/DC....

And it was all downhill from there.....;D

How come KLUV played "Handle With Care" by Traveling Wilburys? Weird!!

I guess it's just the natural progression of things but when I think of Oldies I still think of Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Beach Boys (everything but that gawd-awful Kokomo), The Beatles, etc. Eventually that will become the equivalent of SMN's "The Music of Your Life" and the stuff I grew up on will become "Oldies."

I'm not ready for the sports car and the trophy wife just yet but man that time is sneaking up on me quickly.

Oh, C414B, I'll be 34 in August.

Maybe it was on the playlist?

Yep KLUV is obviously evolving, something KEOM should start doing soon.

<Gulp> 56 in November. And to think, the ad agencies haven't caught me yet, because I'm too old for them. I'm living in an attic somewhere and moving around every three days so they don't get me. But if I hear "Twilight Time" by the Platters one more time...I will surely die.

Yeah but you are really never ever old, until you've had that mid-life crises. ;D

That song is just over 25 years old, so it qualifies as an oldie. Especially since many oldies stations are evolving to 70's & 80's.
