"You Never Needed Us More"

Thought KYW should have brought this back after the 9/11 attacks (probably would have been seen as "self serving" in a time of tragedy).
Maybe a good time to bring it back NOW, although KYW 103.9 (4 syllables in 103-9) can't compete with the power of 3: "10-sixty".

It must have been a very effective jingle, because I was just a kid at the time and it still runs through my head on an unsettlingly regular basis. (I'm sure I should be tested for something.)

An unfortunate irony in a return of the "You never needed us more" tag would be that (it's 2026 and) people have never needed terrestrial news radio less.

I remember first being aware of KYW's "YNNUM" slogan via either a billboard seen by me "in person" or in maybe a photo in one of the newspapers, perhaps the Inquirer (the photo illustrated an article whose substance escapes me). That billboard showed the "classic" shot of Reagan reacting to being shot and the aforementioned new KYW slogan.
