"You Spin Me Round(Like A Record)" /"Goody Two Shoes" on CBSFM?

do the above mentioned early 80s smashes by Dead Or Alive and Adam Ant get any air time on CBS FM? If not, why not? both tracks personify NYC in the early/80s...

Re: "You Spin Me Round(Like A Record)" /"Goody Two Shoes" on CBSFM?

Isn't "You Spin Me Round" a mid 80s hit? I believe it hit the charts in 1985 whereas Adam Ant found success around 80-81.

correct,CHRles, Spin Me was a UK import hit here in 84, got a proper release/airplay in 85,but it drives people wild to this day,and is an amazing radio record(as is "Goody Two Shoes" which seems to be popping up on mainstream movie soundtracks with some regularity these days

Re: "You Spin Me Round(Like A Record)" /"Goody Two Shoes" on CBSFM?

"You Spin Me Round..." shows up with 240 spins on WCBS-FM but a lot of that could have come from the Jack Format. The first spin came on June 4th, 2005 and the last was on October 17, 2007.

"Goody Two Shoes" shoes shows 273 spins. The first was June 9th, 2005 and the last was July 11th, 2007.

Re: "You Spin Me Round(Like A Record)" /"Goody Two Shoes" on CBSFM?

I would love to hear more dancy 80s songs like "You Spin Me Round" on CBS-FM. Though there at least seems to be a bit more variety and balance with the 80s records now than there was before - they used to lean way too heavily towards John Mellencamp/Huey Lewis-type rock.

One CBS-owned "classic hits" station that you can probably hear both these songs is Q105 in Tampa. The other day, they played a harder-edged Police song.
