I now get why Bruce Jacobs asked Joe Arpaio and Andy Thomas to cover for his vacation today. They actually made you miss BJ. I've never heard anything so terrible in my life. And, when Fox10 started doing live reports from the studio and talked over Sheriff Joe causing Andy to lose it I practically fell out of my recliner laughing. Has to be the worst radio show ever.

Yeah, but Nurse Jeff and I bet the listeners loved it. Too bad KFWhyEye doesn't have a Dude or Chick Boss yet...the show would have had fewer snafus if mgmt had put someone like Broomhead in there to ride herd. Come to think of it, Jim Sharpe is usually just a phone call away!

By divine providence, the Sangean 909 that I have had running every day for nearly 20 years finally died on AM.

A blessing.

I went down a notch and bought a shiney new Sangean 505, a hundred bucks less, but good AM/FM/SW coverage.

Y'all know I think Arpaio is a steaming pile, as for Thomas...

I was at a convention in Feb this year, full of all the top executives across AZ that have to handle the E-Verify system. We all had lots of good legal questions for Mr. Thomas and lots of hard hitting info and real life experiences with the new law. We couldn't wait to talk to him and hear his keynote address.

But, Andy the chickenheart didn't show up. Didn't even call ahead of time. He left 500 people in a giant room fuming that we paid to hear him and he ditched us.

Redheads should never grow mustaches, it makes them look so creepy.

I respectfully disagree with your assesment on Arpaio's performance. I always thought he had the perfect face for radio. ;D
 
...seems as if y'all are missing the big story here -- KFYI now owes Dan Saban his own three-hour early morning radio show. Oh man, will the fascist wingnuts have strokes by the thousands ;-) ...
