You Tube/SESAC dispute

Adele's original studio version of "Set Fire to the Rain" still isn't available on YouTube. I can only find live versions, and other people's covers of it.

Although if this dispute is based on the songwriting copyright, rather than the audio recording copyright, then I wonder why those aren't affected as well? The Content ID system can detect live and cover versions -- even if you just hum or whistle a tune, sometimes that's enough for the melody to get picked up as a musical composition copyright.

I also had problems listening to some music on Youtube last night, from The Byrds. Even though it's a songwriting dispute, I was able to listen to the live version of Jesus is Just Allright, but the studio versions were all blocked.

Just found a lyric copy of Set Fire To The Rain that's been up on YT for 12 years.

Obviously, the must have settled the dispute. After all, YT, is the biggest streamer on the internet. Cutting them off would by like financially shooting oneself in the foot.
