you won't believe what I just heard on B98.5!

I was in the car listening to B98.5 and you won't believe what I just heard, Kelly McCoy was kicking off another 50 minute music hour! I think I could hear the emotion, excitement, and sense of mission, purpose, and fulfillment in McCoy's voice! In these tough economic times it's great to know the one thing B98.5 isn't cutting back on is the music. It is warm and heartening to know that Atlanta area families can gather around their radio sets and enjoy all this great music together. Even more so that the unemployed can still have a reason to get up in the morning, without a job one can really have the time to appreciate and savor every moment of B98.5's "98 @ 9" (that's over ninty-eight minutes of music every weekday morning starting at nine am)!

Thank you Cox and B98.5 for sharing your bounty of songs with us, the grateful and appreciative listeners.

Isn't that "every morning at 9 just after Steve & Vikki?"

Again, B98.5 voted number one for listening out of work!

Good for you. :)

Nice to hear that you're listening to a radio station whose market share in Atlanta is greater than all of six Clear Channel stations' shares COMBINED. Kinda defies logic how one station can whoop and beat six radio stations.

caller10, what you had heard at the time was a sampling of the voicetracking that goes on at B98.5 every weekend. Every DJ at that station on the weekend is usually voicetracked. Sometimes they will automate the music, and not include voicetracked DJs.

Imagine what would happen if Arbitron PPM "weighted" the employed listeners stronger than the unemployed listeners!

The tumult in the ratings would be staggering ... sounds like fun!
