Young Turks Launching on AAR 6-9AM Timeslot

From SiriusBackstage, The Young Turks are picking up the 6-9am timeslot for their weekday show, which is primarily heard through Internet streaming and Sirius, at least until they launch on AAR. Sirius is redoing their lineup to deal with the program change.

There is nothing about this on the Young Turks website, but some listeners complaining about Mike Malloy's demise are crossposting new station lineups for their local affiliates which have this show on the schedule. By the way, the 9-10pm timeslot seems to be filled on at least a few stations by "EcoTalk" which I suspect was a weekend AAR show. Yeah, that will work.

Young Turk Ben Mankiewicz is also a movie host for Turner Classic Movies.
He is the son of writer-director Joseph L. Mankiewicz ("The Ghost and Mrs. Muir," "All About Eve," "Cleopatra" among others) and the grandson of writer Herman J. Mankiewicz ("Citizen Kane," "The Pride of the Yankees" and the movie in which later NBC news reader Chet Huntley tried to act, "Pride of St. Louis," among others).

Possibly Joe Mankiewicz was being prophetic about young Ben's involvement with AAR when he wrote: "Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night!"

He's actually the grandson of Joe Mankiewicz. His father, who is still alive, isFrank Mankiewisc who was Bobby Kennedy's press secretary and is probably best known for his tearful press conference when Bobby was assasinated in Los Angeles in 1968.

Marginal...

Not sure if this is an improvement over Malloy. I always found the Turks show marginally listenable. Say, wasn't that guy running for congress or something?
