Your chance to talk about Thurday's format change

This week on The Radio Racket, it's going to be wall-to-wall discussion about CC's changes at JJZ & SNI. This is your chance to talk about the new format on 106.1 and try to figure out what's going to happen Monday on 104.5. We want to know what you think about how the change went down, and will either station succeed in the long run?

Who knows? Maybe we'll get some calls from people on the inside. If you know what's going to happen, feel free to give us a buzz and dish the dirt!!

Lots to talk about, and we hope to hear from you! See you all Friday night beginning at 10pm at radioracket.com. I have a feeling we'll be doing some OT this week as well.
 
i am not able to listen at 10pm tonight (stupid part time job), will it be archived for downloading after tonight?
 
We plan to have an announcement soon on archiving. In fact, I think we'll be talking about it on tonight's show.

If you can't listen live tonight, we do replay the show all weekend long thru our site. Usually, we even run it into the following week. Hope that works for you!
 
may i record the show with an audio recording program like Cool Edit/Adobe Audition?
 
Absolutely! I know of a couple of people that do it so they can listen at a later time. Hope that works for you until we get up the archives.

For now, there has been no reverb during the live shows... Glad to have you aboard tonight...
 
Any plans to add a podcast RSS feed so we can subscribe to the show and have it automatically delivered into our MP3 players?

I've tried recording various audio streams (including Audio18) with Cool Edit/Audition and it hasn't worked. I am one of those people Kyle mentions who records the show to listen to at my convenience. Recording also lets me start at the beginning, skip ahead through portions that don't interest me and to stop and start listening (it never seems to fail, if I listen to part of the show and come back later during the weekend, I get some part of the show I've already heard).

I use Replay Radio/Replay AV for Radio Racket and other online programs. It has timer functions like a DVR so you can program it to start and stop recording. It also downloads podcasts, allow you to record multiple audio steams at the same time, do speech compression and make airchecks (good but not as good as sex). Replay describes itself as Tivo for online audio and that's an accurate descriptions. I've been using it for almost four years and I've been pleased with it. It also includes a media guide to help find programming in which you might be interested. Other programs are available (see download.com) but ReplayAV seems to have some unique features I like.
