Your DREAM station?

Okay, there's been enough blowing smoke and steam here of the BEST and WORST... Now it's fantasy time! What IF you could program your OWN station? How would you do it and who would you use?
For me, it would be a blend of ambient, techno and REAL jazz, not the watered-down crap that WJZZ tries to pawn off as jazz. There would be LIVE jocks at least during all dayparts, with a bare minimum of commercials. I'd welcome tangent shows during overnight or late weekend hours, such as local live broadcasts or stuff really off the beaten path that otherwise wouldn't get airplay; much like what you hear on online streaming stations such as Groove Salad and Limbik Frequencies.
I'd recruit honest, golden-throated jocks like our own Rob Langer (lose that damn Yankee accent, buddy!) and Jon Rivers from Texas.
Yes, I know it wouldn't draw much in the way of ratings or revenue, but dammit.... we NEED some variety! There's WAY too much of the same ol' same ol' out there!

Okay, money isn't an issue, neither are ratings nor anything other than my own whim?

I'd take the best of the Southern Rock era, lengthen the music library with country cuts (both hits & deep deep cuts) & alt-country that "feel right" with
the S.R. and have a blast.

My dream station would be this (I've been dreaming about it for years):

Format: Dance/Euro CHR

Morning Drive: Ensemble of hip comedians. Every Monday have a "tales from club-land" theme where people call in and talk about what happened in their weekend runnings and stuff like that.

Mid-Days: House/Trance mixshow. Highlight new artists, and use the energy of dance music to get people through the work-day.

Afternoon Drive: Current hits. Whatever's popular in the dance world at the second. Hosted by a Tracy St. George type...really hip and fun to listen to.

Nights: Nights would be kind of chopped. I'd divide it up into hours. 7-9 would be trance/progressive house, 10-11 hardcore/rave, 11-12 Drum and Bass

Overnights: Overnights would be basically the same kind of chopped format, but it would only be hosted by one jock, because let's face it, getting someone to come and do a 2-3am mixshow everyday ain't gonna happen. I'd give my overnight guy complete creative control. Spin trance, hardstyle, happy hardcore, ambient, chill, garage, whatever you want, just stay in the format...no rock or hip-hop.

Weekends: This is where the station would really shine. Alot of stations do remotes at clubs on the weekends, but I'd take it one step further. I'd go the route that Ministry of Sound Radio went in London and open up a club that was owned by the station. Then after live club broadcasts are over, I'd spin chill/ambient for the drive home to kind of clear the cobwebs from all the energy of the night.

Sundays: I always thought that a station should open Sundays up to be kind of a free-for-all. I'd play the stuff that isn't mainstream enough to make it into the normal programming (like any of this is anyway...lol!) on Sundays. I'd have a UK Garage/Grime mixshow, maybe late night do some really hard trance or even gabber, have an old-school show, etc. I'd also like to have some music related documentaries put in there too on the weekends. Choose a city and have someone from the station go there and check out the club scene and do a report on it every week that would air sunday night. That kind of stuff. I'm totally overflowing with ideas here...

Anyway...that's my dream station. And I'm sure that's exactly where it will remain. In my dreams... :(
