Anyone ever see the lyrics to the closing music of WKRP in Cincinnati. Reminds one of "Louie, Louie." There are words, supposedly, but what are they?

Other Faves

Always loved the CHiPs theme(s). There are longer and shorter versions of the opening and closing themes through the years. The longer opening is the best. Go to www.chips-tv.com, then click Fun Stuff, then click Sound Files to find the CHiPs themes.

I have these favorite (some "guilty pleasures"), certainly recognizable, themes:

-Dallas
-Hill Street Blues
-Charles in Charge
-One Day At A Time
-Welcome Back (Welcome Back, Kotter)
-The Love Boat
-Three's Company
-The Waltons

Yeah...but..

...all you get out of Webster and Silver Spoons are Emmanuel Lewis and Rick "dont call me Ricky" Schroeder.

Out of Charles in Charge, you get Nicole Eggert.

I think I've made my point. ;oP

Indeed.

Re: Your Fave TV Show Themes

For me, my favourite is The Price is Right, including many of its cue themes used during the show and in the open. My favourite of those is "Starcrossed", which is used for some Showcases, as well as for the Credit Card game. I also like "Bean Stalker", which is one of the "new car" themes - I think it is the one used for the Lucky $even game.

"Starcrossed", as well as some other TPIR cues, were composed by Edd Kalehoff, who produced the "News 4 New York" theme from the early-mid 80s, as well as the News at Noon theme on WOR-TV in the early 80s.<P ID="signature">______________

Re: Your Fave TV Show Themes

Anybody remember "UFO", a British export sci-fi show from the early 1970s? It had the most incredible kickass theme song by John Barry. Sort of like Blood Sweat & Tears meets ELP. It took me years to find it on CD, but I finally tracked it down a few years ago.

The show itself was definitely a product of its time. It took place in 1980, a timeframe identified in the opening credits as THE FUTURE! No CGI, but I thought it was a rather good show. Our local NBC affiliate carried it on Sunday nights after the 11:00 news.

Whenever you saw that rotating ITC logo, you knew you were in for some good TV.

Back from the 70's The theme from the ABC Tuesday Movie of the Week. I believe it was also written by Mancini

I've been trying to track down the name of the show that I taped a theme song of around that time with whisting but don't remember the name. It's driven me crazy for years.

I was referring to the shows' themes, not necessarily their content.
