Your Good Time Favorites Station

http://www.northshore1049.com/

This station appears to be playing pure pop - "Make A Move On Me" by Olivia Newton John, "Don't Worry Baby" by The Beach Boys, "Do You Wanna Dance" by Bette Midler and "Whenever I Call You Friend" by Kenny Loggins/Stevie Nix. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but it is a nice diversion from the limited playlist of
Oldies 103. A nice addition to go back and forth. The Olivia track is perhaps her finest pop tune.

The Lynn Journal had an article on 104.9 recently...tailored toward the North Shore (a few talk
shows, "North Shore Happenings", high school football etc.) In addition to the music format they
have the Sox and Celtics.

btw speaking of the North Shore as I type this (Fri night 3:35 am) there's a big fire up in Danvers. I could see it in the distance as I crossed the Beverly-Salem bridge. Looked like it was up on a hill...I drove a bit closer but couldn't see exactly where it was. WBZ on their traffic report said that Rt 1 at 62 was closed down "big
fire nearby, near Maple St. (Rt 62)". What's around there...Essex Aggie, shopping mall w/ Staples, Hogan Regional Ctr., St John's
Prep...

btw that fire I mentioned was indeed at the old state mental hospital in Danvers (up on a hill nr Rt 1,
I think it was called the Hogan Regional Ctr.--Ch 7 showed how huge the fire was...I could see it from
Beverly-Salem bridge maybe 5 miles away

I can sometimes pick the station up depending on how I position my clock radio. You can always tell the Indies from the Colglomerates. The indies are always the ones playing "different" music. WPLM-FM is the same way too.

100.9 from Portland, ME. I've heard this station as far south as Newburyport. A real interesting mix - you never know what you might hear next...Keeps you guessing...
