Your Hosts On Altrok 90.5 HD2

There've been some upgrades at Altrok 90.5 HD2.

It's always been our intention to do roughly the opposite of what the rest of radio is doing, and that includes adding more personality when so many others are taking it away.

We're now staffed from 6am to 7pm weekdays:

- Tom covers morning drive, with a bit of NPR and local news sprinkled amidst the Altrok tracks
- Margaret rules the mid-days, 10am to 2pm, playing more of them Altrok tunes
- And yours truly (Sean) handles the afternoon drive chores, 'til 7pm when the computer asserts its superiority over our puny humanity until we can wrestle control back by the morning. Excluding weekends because, honestly, who wants to wrestle on weekends?

We've got currents from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Purity Ring, The Strokes, David Bowie, Foals, Johnny Marr, The Black Angels and (shock!) The Replacements, OMD and Adam Ant, and a LOT of others, plus the classics library that's full of stuff that would've been way easier to reacquire if it hadn't been left in the little house with the big antenna on Hope Road.

So we're doing radio on HD2, and naturally, online, too. Come on by and check it out: http://wbjb.org/altrok or at 90.5 HD2 within range.

(And if you use your smartphone to listen, do what I do - choose the low bitrate 32k AAC stream. In a car, it still sounds pretty good, and I don't blow out my 2GB monthly data plan. You probably won't either, but your mileage may vary.)
