This may be old news, but when did the link add John Tesh????? Has the Link changed their playlist to compliment the Tesh show... Kinda curious... CC

Tesh's been on there since mid-Fall.... I don't think he was on Link for the full book... my understanding is that they're using Tesh's "voicetrack" option, and are scheduling their own music, rather than using the satellite version of Tesh which is Bright AC.

Nationally, Tesh has had a really good book, coming in #1 at night in many markets..... interestingly, in lots of markets, he's NOT on a soft ac... he's on a Hot AC or other adult format (ie-Rock AC in hartford at WHCN, Hot AC at KIOI/San Francisco & KPLZ/Seattle, AC at KKCW/Portland, 80's at KSTJ/Las Vegas, etc.)....I think he's also on a country station (w/ the voicetrack version) in Boise.

People can make fun of Tesh all they want... they guy pulls in some solid numbers... often times beating that "other" syndicated adult night-time show.... Granted, he hasn't been on in Charlotte long, but once the listeners find the thing... I think some other stations should be worried 'bout their night numbers. I think the folks at Link are doing a solid job in assembling the show, and including the back-announces, and localizations.

I'd consider it prep. It's not like it's the kind of show that calls for one liners and jokes (which would be taken from a magazine or website). Where do you get YOUR prep? Off Ross Britain like everyone else?<P ID="signature">______________
