Your localism requirements?

It ain't politics...it is reality. Rush broadcasts to the clearly over 40 conservative male. There is no future in that demo.

GO TALK TO 18-24 YEAR OLDS...THEY DON'T TALK POLITICS...and if they do, most of them are not talk show fans.

And most are MUCH more liberal then the folks who listen to talk radio (which isn't saying much as talk radio is in the Attila-the-Hun section of the right hand side of the stadium)

Rush gave radio a breather to come up with new and interesting programming that was good radio first and political talk second.

First and foremost, Rush creates compelling radio.

What the clones have created and boredom.

And Rush has become a caricature of himself.

Funny how mortgages and responsiblity, as well as high tax bills turn some of those idealistic liberals into conservatives. Happens evey generation.

If that argument were true then Mr(s) Palin & McCain would currently be re-arranging the office furniture. They are not.

It is a fallacious argument to suggest that responsibility turns people into conservatives. If anything it should do the reverse.
