Your most memorable callers

Hi all,

I write a weekly column about radio for the North County Times.

Not too long ago, someone called KPBS during a show about rattlesnakes and asked, "What do you do if a one-eyed snake bits you in the back of the mouth? Should you spit or swallow?"

This inspired me to write a column about radio personalities and the most embarrassing/funny/sad/weird calls they ever took on the air (or off it).

What are some of your most memorable calls and callers? You can tell the stories here or email me at [email protected]. Just make sure to let me know your name and where you work (worked)... I can run anonymous stories too as long as they're really good :)

Thanks!

-Randy

About a gazillion "What do you look like?" from beautiful voices that always turned out to be "troubled." The last time I called Tony and Kris to tell them they sucked, they laughed and appraciated the call. They don't suck, but they are hillbillies.

Mac Hudson did a good one with Berger and Prescott at KFMB. You might want to ask Jeff or Mike about it. B&P were asked by Mac to make sure the swear catcher was on.

Classic.

DSC aired a caller who confessed to cheating on his soon-to-be-wife the night before their wedding...with the bride's mom! He confessed everything—date, time, names, location, etc. (that's what they do on Lash Wednesday). Moments later, his wife (the bride) called in. One of the best spontaneous calls I've ever heard.

You'll find it on one of DSC's 'best of...' CDs.
