Here's some BIG litz wire! A VLF site under construction at Heeia HI in the 1930s.
The output tank hadn't been wound yet.
Was about 2" thick.
My uncle took these pics.

OMG. I've never seen Litz wire so big. Thanks for the photo.

Why would they use Litz on VLF? I always thought and witnessed it being more useful on VHF and above.
