What are your top 3 radio stations you go to daily Also give the reason why they are your favorite. I am posting this because it seems as every post or almost every post is negative. Lets bring back the positive :) Come on we live in Arizona,, we have sunshine while the rest of the nation as brrrr cold :)

Free FM - I love Adam Carolla, always have since the love line days. Tom Leykis is great even though his voice gets annyoying from time to time. O&D have grown on me and have really turned into a good show. I also enjoy the game with pete and michelle and of course been loving Dave Dameshek! Always a good listen

Energy AZ - Yep I still love that station. It really does amaze me that phoenix of all places has a dance station almost 5 years after it signed on!! Whatever keeps the beats pumping at the station I say Bravo!!

KTAR FM - I have to say I was never really a HUGE listener of news talk but it seems with the station being on FM, I tend to gravitate to them more and more every week. I do like getting the news updates and do tune in afternoons for a quick take on the news. I am a big fan of Kid Stevens so I am happy they are giving him a shot at talk radio. I of course like many am not happy with Mcbland in early pm drive. I think they need some fresh new blood for that shift but I must say this station is in my top 3.

1. KTAR 620 - Between 11 AM and 9 PM they can't be beat. AM drive is OK as long as Wolfley sticks to football.

2. XTRA 910 - Bickley & MJ are better than Doug & Wolf. I like Jacobs & Marotta together (10 times better than Jacobs by himself - he needs adult supervision. ;D ) and listen when Gambo & Ash talk about something I'm not interested in.

3. KCDX 103.1 - Great classic rock, some of which hasn't been played on the radio in over 30 years (obscure album tracks never heard on KSLX), no commercials or jocks. Basically a PC with Winamp connected to a high-powered FM transmitter, but it works so long as the owner has the money to sink into it.

KFYI for Crummey and 'Barry' Youn and Art Bell to tell me who is an alien
KTAR because McBland is so surreal bad that its oddly enjoyable
Radio Free Phoenix, because I can't listen to crappy music radio

I'm mostly an AM guy, so when KTAR moved to FM, I have an empty button. I can't take more than 15 minutes of Jacobs in the morning, so now listen to Imus on KXAM and the guys on KFNN.....they are pretty good for a local AM show talking about financial matters. The rest of the day I listen mostly to music on XM.

If I remember, I will tune in Crummy, although I don't think he is that great. And if I remember, I will tune in Jeffry O'Brien on KXAM at 9 p.m. I think he does a fairly good and entertaining, locally produced show. I only wish it was live so that he could take calls from listeners.

And on Saturday and Sunday nights, I try to remember to listen to John Dayl. I know at times he can get boring and annoying, but he is a good host, takes lots of calls from listeners, and let's them talk....sometimes too much. Too bad KFNX moved him to such a terrible time slot. Only the most devout callers call in; the ones who want to hear themselves on the radio.

But we don't have that many shows were people can talk about local issues. Jacobs is too one sided, and lets sports take over his show all too often. I don't listen to Simons, McMahon or Ankaro. And I haven't listened to Barry Young in several years. I try to like Goyette, but after he devoted all his time to his anti-stadium campaign, I can't get back on his band wagon.

Sirius Left

Air America

KJZZ

listen to all for news and views.

1) KOOL-FM--
Can't beat the same 94 songs over and over ;), which, strangely enough, no longer includes "Over And Over" (DC5). Actually, now that they've resumed doing theme weekends (was that a no-no during the Charley Lake Effect regime?) they are playing some more varied and less-overplayed songs. I've definitely heard some "oh wow" stuff on this theme weekend already.

2) Tie between KT'R-FM and 55/FYI--
You can love 'em and hate 'em all at the same time! And you can't beat all the thread time they get on this board.

3) Lumberyard 1440--
I don't know. Maybe it's the mostly unused 52 watts, maybe it's the lamp timer.

1) KSAZ - the Marana blowtorch that wants to move it's city of license to Queen Creek. Nothin' like a Dan Babich endorsement to get Nurse Jeff and me goin'. Just what the market needs, another AM signal. YIKES!

2) KAZG - (notice the similarity of call letters?) Yes indeedy, Lumberyard Radio is takin' off with more and more paid programming that has no commonality except in the cash register. But those "yank the power" at sunset sign-offs (regardless of what is on the air) truly makes this Gumpdusky's market flagship!

3) KNAI - La Campesina with it's "non-commerical" programming in Espanol that flies under the FCC's radar thanks to political correctness. If it's non-commercial, then Nurse Jeff and I are the twin father's of Anna Nicole's daughter!

Minority owner and VP/GM ??

Former Fred Weber hatchet man and trade-out king of beepers - Mike Barna.

There's a name I haven't seen for awhile. How's ol' Jeffry doin' these days?

(when in town)

1. KMVA MOViN 97.5 - Im 24 and BELIEVE ME fogies, this format is gonna be HUGE. Most of you are baby boomers with the typical old person "MUSIC IS TOO LOUD and IT WONT WORK" attitudes. Tough shit. Your past your prime and its all about the cyber generation. This is OUR music and we love it! Best station since KZZP was 'ZZP. Its about time.

2. KNRJ Energy 92.7/101.1 - It sounded better when it launched but Phx radio sucks so what can ya do!

3. KAJM Mega 104.3/99.3 - I liked AZ JAMZ better "JAMMIN LIKE A FRIEGHT TRAIN" *tear*

Congratulations, Dr. Akbar and Nurse Jeff!!  ;D I'll bust out the [cheap] cigars and find you a welder who can install the latches for the child carrier in the '76 Gremlin. (I had my doubts until I saw actual pictures of the baby wearing the fez.)

I love La Campesina too! When I'm craving some tuba and accordion, I go straight for the non-commercial La Campesina.

Thanks...The Nurse sez it's a bitc# finding after market baby seats for a Gremlin!

I love La Campesina too! When I'm craving some tuba and accordion, I go straight for the non-commercial La Campesina.

Satisfy that craving during el dia porque KNAI shares the frequency at night with a bible thumping station. Que mal suerte!

KT'R-FM/KFYI: Ok, I'm a news junkie, so I alternate between the two stations to get the latest news and talk on the issues. When it comes to best news coverage, KT'R wins...hands down. When it comes to best talk, KFYI wins.

KUPD: I love listening to Holmberg's Morning Sickness! Great morning radio...when their computer is working. :D

RadioFreePhoenix- Angela Allen in the morning. I drive a straight, south to north morning commute in the East Valley, and I can pick up 99.1 The Point out of Queen Creek. Some static at times, but I stick with it for the brilliance of Angela Allen and the incredible music. I listen to Dave Cooper at home after work.

103.1 KCDX- Some great tracks. Too much Hughy Lewis and D-grade Elton John , though, and they are still playing that K-Tell rerecorded Grass Roots junk. After a couple of hours, you crave the sound of a human voice. Then, I turn it to Pat....

92.3 KTAR- Larry Gaydos the new, BIG, up-and-coming radio star???
And what B-movie glamor queen has Larry been linked to recently?
Look for him in the Enquirer, he's even more handsome than he sounds!

I just love predictions...remember this one from 2007?
