YOUR WEEKEND WITH JIM BRICKMAN ON 96.1

He will now be on this coming Sunday morning. This is such a great show. I listen on my free time on the weekend on other stations, but now, I will get to listen on their station on my way home from work. This show is great. I wish it can be on here in Boston on either Magic 106.7 or Mix 104.1 because I can't get 96.1 on a walkman in Boston area, even Revere area. It comes in better in Revere area than Boston area on a walkman. I'm glad his show will be on that station.
If you know this show, any thoughts?

I wish Magic 106.7 or Mix 104.1 can play these type of great radio shows "Intelligence For Your Health" "Your Weekend With Jim Brickman" I wish they can play those here in Boston on Magic 106.7 or Mix 104.1, both are great radio shows, and will do very well with their listenners. Both shows are produced very well put together, and sound very nice to listen to. It's 2011, Mix and Magic just needs that little (ooomppp) to make them better.

I disagree completely. I think one of the best things about this market is the amount of locally produced specialty programming we have on the weekend. I would imagine that both of the shows you mention would likely air on Sunday morning. I would hate to have any syndicated shows replace the local Sunday morning offerings like Acoustic Sunrise on Mix or Sunday Morning Smooth Jazz on Magic.

Wow, I didn't think someone would actually post about this.

It was actually on last weekend as well, and I was glad to hear it again. I remember Lite Rock 105 in Providence used to air this show years ago, but I think they gave it up awhile back. I wasn't even sure if he was still on the air. I actually had the privilege of meeting Jim Brickman himself a few years ago when he was at a music store in downtown Natick.

I also remember it being on Lite 105 in Providence, I can pick it up a tiny bit in Revere, Ma.
@Mistermicrophone, 93.7 Mike FM states that they play everything. Look at 106.3 Frank FM in Nashua, they are simular to MIKE FM, they have Radio Hosts on there, why not do the same with 93.7 Mike FM. They advertise to listen to their stations online and on a phone.
What makes 93.7 Mike FM different than any other variety station? Givs us a good reason to listen? Syndicated Radio shows like "Your Weekend With Jim Brickman", John Tesh, Rick Dees, Intelligence For Your Health, etc... is a good reason to listen to their station.
92.9 plays some, not all AC along with their Adult Alternitive music, why not put it on their station?
All I do is give good ideas and everyone get mad at me.
These are good ideas

The appeal/novelty of Mike FM is that they play everything and you'll never hear blocks of music that all fall into the same genre. Hours of AC music in one block directly contradicts this. As for WBOS, they don't play any songs that exclusively AC; sure, a crossover song here and there, but those songs aren't the core of the station.

BTW, no one is "getting mad". I asked a simple question as to why you thought this show would be a good fit on either if those stations.

if these stations can't play these good radio shows, perhaps they should change formats to either AC or HOT AC. Here in Boston, there are way too many stations playing old and New Rock and Roll (WAAF on both 107.3 and 97.7, 105.7 WROR, WFNX, WZLX, 93.7 MIKE FM, 92.9 BOS, 92.5 The River). There are way too many Rock and Roll Stations in Boston. Not (everyone) likes Rock and Roll.
The AC/HOT AC stations in Boston are Magic 106.7, Mix 104.1, and Easy 99.1. Those are the three major AC/HOT AC stations in this area. Yeah, they do have some great shows on there such as Sunday Morning Smooth Jazz, Acrustic Sundays on Mix and 92.9, Sinatra on 99.1.
There are lots of great (AC/HOT AC) radio programs out there (Jim Brickman, John Tesh, Intelligence For Your Health etc...) If these stations can't play those great programming, perhaps they should change formats. Because you got like eight Rock and Roll stations and only three AC/HOT AC stations. Something should be done to change things here for the better, because not (everyone) like Rock and Roll music
