You're gonna have to wait for Community & Whitney's long-awaited return...

For just a little bit longer. NBC's telling us that both shows are on an indefinite hiatus, and no new return date has not yet been announced. This happens to be Community's 5th season, and The 2nd season for the CBS Television Studios-produced Whitney.

According to tvbythenumbers, speculation is that these shows are probably going to replace Animal Practice and Guys with Kids.

I wouldn't mind waiting forever for those two shows. As much as I like Whitney as a comedian, her sitcom is subpar. I was really into Community for the first couple of seasons and found it very imaginative. Maybe it's just me - but the bizarre plots stopped working for me, and I'm just not amused by it anymore.

Troy,
"Whitney" is produced by Universal Television.

I'm guessing that "Whitney" will return to Wednesday @ 8pm, while "Community" will go back to Thursday night after "30 Rock" finishes its run.

Hey... I really do love "Animal Practice" & "Guys with Kids". So why are they on the bubble?
"Guys with Kids" is my favorite new show so far, but not all of them have debuted. I had to make choices and "Animal practice" didn't sound appealing, Joanna Garcia notwithstanding.

I only like Whitney for "2 Broke Girls", though I really wish Sophie would leave. The girls are great.

"Community" can wait, as far as I'm concerned. Although the bizarre plots are interesting.
