You've Got See This Video starring WPRO's Dave Barber

You know whats funny, the cooperate mind set.

I like reading and learning from Holland Cooke. I will say this however; all the analysis , methods, vetting, all the 'rules', doesn't bring the results. It really doesn't.

Steve White had 3 to 4 times, I repeat, 3 to 4 times the listeners to his 'radio talk show' than what there is today. There was 'none' of this, none of it.
All of the 'figuring out' the best 'ways' for a show to go ( once they saw the big money involved) and began to 'control' it, well, you get my point.

I think Barbers show is 'hack' talk radio. There is no 'intellect' or 'heart' there.
If I have to write what makes a good or great talk show, well, I think that speaks for itself.
Compare Barber to John Depetro or even Matt Allen, then you'll get my point.
For them it's 'natural' and truly 'local'.
Thanks for the You Tube link!

I don't know why..... but this may be my new favorite video on youtube. The honesty of Dave Barber just cracked me up. It almost felt like I was watching a comedy bit from Saturday Night Live. Thank you Holland Cooke for this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9I5HCh5EZg

Good afternoon from Saginaw, and the bustling newsroom @ WNEM-TV5, Mid-Michigan's News Leader.

Saturday Night Live is probably too busy for us this week.
Between Dubya tonight, and Hugo Chavez the other day, their cup runneth over, eh?

The CSI bit is hilarious. Thanks.

But the bald guy who plays Frank needs to find a new agent who'll get him listed in the show's opening credits.

Look REAL quick.
This season, they added two new names, but they flash VERY quickly.

UPDATED version of the Dave Barber video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wZMUbwOrZU

The previous version was the-very-first-thing I shot with a VERY cool, VERY small, new cell-phone-size camera Santa brought me. Now, I'm getting SLIGHTLY better at Microsoft MovieMaker, the editing software...

OK. I usually have my head in the refrigerator during any show's opening credits....

DANG. I wish I knew...

Holland: Hope you got to see the Letterman show Monday night. Jim Carrey was on and did a hilarious spot-on David Caruso parody.

Carrey is a GENIUS.
Would've LOVED that.
I'm locked-into a "Tonight Show" Monday viewing appointment.
LOVE "Headlines."
Is the Letterman/Carrey thing online?
