Friday at 5:30PM WYSP's bays were hit by lightning, they were off the air until 5:50PM. I thought they had an auxiliary transmitter/tower on Domino Lane near the two resovours close to their main transmitter, if this is so why didn't it kick in.

On a smaller scale, WRDV in Hatboro was off Friday night & part of Saturday, guess that was storm related too. I didn't check, not sure if they kept their new webcast going as the FM signal was off the air or not, or maybe the Bristol station WLBS was still on, too. But no classic country, beautiful music & oldies in Hatboro. It gets more complicated these days with all the translators & webcast; it used to be if you were knocked off you were down, but now you can be off the air and still on! Maybe Bill Jacobs will check in with some insight.

WRDV is back on the air

WRDV's main transmitter got fried at 5:07 PM Friday. I know; it was my show.

We continued on the internet with regular programming, but with no way to feed WLBS (it takes its feed over-the-air) all of the stations were down until Saturday afternoon, when our engineering staff swapped in the new solid-state transmitter we bought.

We'll fix the old one and use it as a spare.

Now, all we need is a generator....
