YSP changes with O&A coming?

As of noontime Thursday, the AP is reporting that the O&A FM show will be three hours only simulcast by XM, followed by two hours exclusive to XM.
If that means 6-9 a.m., YSP will have an hour to fill.
Could Penn Jillette's show come to YSP? It's on Free FM in NYC and other markets. It's live from 2-3pm.
Or, might someone who comes on after Barsky get an extra hour for his/their show?
Jillette's show would fit:
6-9: O&A
9-2 Barsky
2-3 Jillette
3 p.m. on: current schedule.

So what would you rather have: A new show with Jillette or give a current YSP afternoon or evening host an extra hour?

I believe O&A begin their show at 7am rather than 6, so it is the 6-7am hour that would need filling. I assume they'd just extend their overnight show (Rick Allen?) until then, or perhaps John Russell would fill the hour with music and news/traffic.

Re: Atleast...

You guys in Philly don't have to deal with "Jim Cramer's Mad Money." What a bunch of #%&* The show is "ok" at best on TV but it just seems so damn repetitive on the radio which on the flip-side could be said about the TV show too I suppose. I imagine it is on Free-FM in NYC just to clear the market. Is he on anywhere in Philly?

Just curious...

PS- I must be one of a very small minority because I happened to like DLR and I also like "JACK!" Go ahead let me have it, I can take it!! :-D

I think O&A went to starting at 7 so that they could get more west coast people listening to the live show. I would say that this new deal would probably take priority, and that they'd go back to starting the show at 6.<P ID="signature">______________

O&A will do 6-9AM from the K-Rock/Free FM NYC studios, then "cross the street" to the XM compound to do 2-3 more hours for the XM subscribers. They can now stay on til 12Noon with this new deal (well, on XM anyway).

Re: YSP changes with O&A coming?

I know alot of O&A fans ditched them when they left terrestrial radio and hopfully some will come back.

Re: YSP changes with O&A coming?

One part of today's show I loved... Some guy called in and was complaining and huffing and puffing about something, and O&A were doing the whole, "Shhhhh.... It's okay.... Just let The Virus infect you." And you could just imagine them holding him down while they inject him. Also enjoyed when Eric Logan and Joel Hollander sat down on the couch to be part of the show and Ant does the Howard voice, "Hey honey, sit down on the couch and take off ya top."Should be interesting next few months/years ;D

That scenario would be problematic: most morning shows start at 5 or 5:30am. most/many lieteners get up around that time and start listening...most from their clock-radios bedside. how many of you switch over from an established show right in the middle? can an overnight jock compete with the morning show heavyweights? possibly, but, I wouldn't bet on it. most likely for O&A would be to start at 6, mosey over to XM at 9 with their FREE-style show replayed on the west coast via tape-delay from 6-9a local time. central and mountain stations would fall somewhere in the middle of the start/finish times.
