They will never change formats, they are boxed in and are going to make the best of it, in the long haul.....their current format blends nicely with the Eagles, (although I really dont care for sports). They now have the current/classic gig, a spin off of VH1-Classic. You will hear Round and Round from Ratt then their new music, sounds good. They are also adding more Hair Metal and Grunge and a larger variety. Danny sounds better than P&S, the midday talent is good also, at least we dont have to hear that other guy, who keeps reminding us for an hour or so of how he hung with Jerry Garcia and Robbie Robertson, oy vey do we really want to hear this on a Rocker. I think YSP is opening up their library and trying new things and will get better, they are taking chances and from what I heard their will be no sports, no talk, no rap, no hip hop, no polka, no chr on this frequency....people might think so but it will never happen....anyone else agree they are sounding better music wise and air talent if you want a change from the yakking a few clicks up the dial from them....

We all know WYSP is the 4th highest rated rock station in Philly (out of 4). We all know Bonaduce's ratings are a small fraction of P&S. We all know that that relic guy likes the Dead, but for some reason he triples the ratings of YSP during his broadcast. We all know that the Eagles sound better on fm than am, and that is all YSP really has going for it.

I will give them credit though, they have stuck with the morning show and the format for awhile now despite the poor ratings. If they were going to flip I would think that they would have done so by now.

They're going to let Bonadouchebag dangle in the low ratings breeze for a long time. Why?
Because some a-hole thinks he's going to magically catch on one day.

Let's start a new thread to discuss points already made on almost the same exact thread that is still active!!!

Oasis can you start another HD thread, haven't seen one of those in a few days?

You have plenty to say about Danny, why dont you put the gloves on and take him one on one...I don't think so, and hire a hot chick for afternoons...you sound like a typical, testosterone, sports crazed junkie, what the heck does a hot chick have to do with music and commentary, and you speak of M&H, well H is a good chaver of mine and will never return after the raw deal they received..feh!

I do believe when the ****** got to town, I said his whole show would be comprised of him challenging everyone to a fight. That's AWESOME radio!!!

And if you don't know the value of a hot chick, pick up a magazine. Watch TV. Go to a movie! Who was the piece of A that WYSP used to pay just to go to events and flirt with the troglodytes?

Please just go run along and chat with your HD Radio chavers, about how much you love that useless medium.
 
Those of you with lots to saw about Bonaduce probably don't actually see the ratings...you might want to look at his ratings and not the 12+ numbers.
 
OK... just reading this thread... I was one of the people who thought 'YSP would have flipped like K-Rock of NYC... I'm shocked it didn't... but I can't see how anyone thinks that P&S are not the best morning show Philly has to offer... really..
 
Actually_Employed can you enlighten us with some of these numbers? I'll never bitch about the Bonadouche again if you can actually present evidence that his ratings in a key demo are somewhat good. Not having a job in radio, (MY BEST HILL BILLY VOICE) I'm not privy to fancy ARE-BEE-TRON breakouts.

And to Knowbody... P&S actually ARE the best morning show, of the comedic variety kind, in Philadelphia. And sadly... that's sad. Philly deserves better!

Preston and Steve are still good but seem to have fallen into a rut. They broach some rather interesting subjects but sometimes get too low brow even for me :eek: They're still the only talk show I'll listen to and the Bizarro Files are addictive.
