ysp music getting better

I don't know how you all feel here, but I am noticing the music on YSP is broader, more songs from the grunge days, more metal and more harder cuts. Why would this happen when they are trying to put a talk format in place. They are sounding better music wise then they have in the last 3 years. I could understand this, if they were going all music, especially in the morning drive hours, but why are they doing this when they are FREE-FM with emphasis on talk. Then again, is the term FREE-FM associated with a talk format, it could also mean a free form music format.

I think you are right, now that they are talk/rock, they're hitting the new

tracks heavy nights and weekends and at the same time, diving deeper into the

music that made them stand out as a good rock station. I think it's a great

rock mix.

Seems to me now that they don't have to fill a full day with music they don't need to program as many fill songs as they had to in the past as well as the fact that they aren't relying fully on music for their ratings anymore.

Do these reviews apply only to nights and weekends or to the YSP web stream also?
