ysp's fate

What does everyone think will happen to YSP, I think MMR will stay the same, and YSP will probably stay as is throughout the summer, but after Labor Day will they go ALL talk or try and compete, bringing back Active Rock full time, or try another format all-together. 104.5 will definitely improve on the Alternative note and be music intense, MMR will still be the heritage Rocker playing everything and anything with personality. There still is room for a full time Active Rocker (circa YSP late 90's early 00's).

YSP deserves what they get, rock bottom, for being a sellout. On another note, just heard Metallica's Enter Sandman on Skin Radio, is this part of their music selection. I never listened to them much before, is this in response to 104.5.

Isn't that what y-100 did too when YSP went to a more talk format back in 01-02?

For being a sellout? it's that simple to you, huh?. YSP was the dominant rock station in town largely because of Howard but outside in other dayparts suffered the same fate as most rock stations with Howard in the morning. A sub standard showing teh rest of the day but one good enough to still crush Y100 which had stick problems and was after all a radio one property so by definition pretty mickey mouse, and mmr which just lags for many reasons already covered in previous posts. Sellout? CBS flipped them and several other stations to "free fm" in what was probably the worst programming decision on a major scale in recent history. How did they sell out? they did what the suits made them do. It's called life in the real world son, try living here with us for a while!. AS free fm peters out as a concept around the country, they'll probably go back to beinga rock station with Kidd Chris the king of mediocrity in afternoons doing his Stern/O and A lite act.

And at this rate, he'll end up getting suspended, too.
